Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Why is there a delay in the watch's real-time preview?

Since image data is transmitted via Bluetooth, it is limited by the hardware bandwidth of wearable devices. A delay of 1-3 seconds is normal.

  • Suggestion: The preview is mainly for confirming composition and angles. Shutter commands are instant and do not affect capturing the moment.

2. Why does the Accessibility Service turn off automatically?

Android systems often aggressively kill background processes to save power.

  • Solutions:
    1. Set WristSnap to "No restrictions" in Battery Optimization.
    2. Lock the WristSnap app in the recent tasks/multitasking screen.
    3. Ensure the "Remote Service" switch is kept ON.
    4. Preferably install via Google Play for better system trust.

3. Why do recorded "Macros" sometimes fail?

Presets rely on fixed screen coordinates. They may need adjustment if:

  • Resolution changes: You changed the phone's display resolution.
  • UI Layout changes: The camera app was updated, moving the buttons.
  • Gesture conflicts: Edge gestures might interfere with swipes near the screen border.

4. Which camera apps are supported?

Thanks to AccessibilityService technology, WristSnap simulates human clicks rather than relying on official camera APIs. Theoretically, it supports the vast majority of camera apps, including native cameras, Google Camera, and professional photography apps.

5. Is it safe to grant these permissions?

The "Accessibility Service" is used solely to simulate shutter clicks, adjust parameters, and capture the viewfinder screen. WristSnap does not collect any private data. Only device IDs and activation status are sent to the server for license verification. No photos are ever uploaded to the cloud.

6. Can I use it without a watch?

Yes. The "Preset Config Tool" is a powerful efficiency utility on its own. You can use its macro recording and playback features to switch complex shooting parameters on your phone with one click.

7. What should I do if the connection fails?

If the watch cannot find the phone, please check the following:

  • Solutions:
    1. Double-check all permissions (Accessibility, etc.).
    2. Ensure you only have one version of WristSnap installed (don't mix Google Play and General versions).
    3. Check if the ZEPP App is running and synced.
    4. Check for VPNs or network proxies. While WristSnap works offline, some local network filters can block the communication between the ZEPP and the WristSnap APP.
